Statement of Process
In my project I decided to use books instead of websites. I still used some websites but i used more books. I did this because I think that the books gave more information then the websites. And sometimes websites information is wrong. I decided to do James Madison for my project because he was the last one on the list that I knew. He turned out to be very interesting.
Reflection
Reflection
I actually liked this project, I liked making the project on a blog better then handing something in. I found information easily. One book I used had so much on James Madison. It was very interesting to learn about him and fun.
The project was one of the easiest projects we ever did to me. Im glad that when we were doing this project we didn't have to do another project at the same time becuase, I hate having two or three projects to do at the same time.

Friends with James Madison
If James Madison was still alive then I would deffinitley want to be his friend. He sounds like a really cool person. We actually have a lot in common. We both don't like to speak in front of big crouds. And, we both
tried to do something once and failed and then we tried it again and we suceeded. I think that he was really nice and he probably wasn't a snob.
I also think that he would be a good friend and not be the kind of friend who leaves you behind for someone cooler.

My Foes
In my whole life I think the person I hated and that person hated me was probably, Patrick Henry. The moment I joined the Council of State he hated me. He always hated my ideas and turned them down. If I supported something he was always against it. He loved giving speaches so much he agve a speech against one of my idea. Thomas Jefferson and I would always pray for his death. When I ran for President he did everything he could so I wouldn't win. And he was also against me when I ran for Virginia house of Delegates. There was once an inportant meeting for the members of the Council of State but Patrick didn't tell Thomas and I so we missed it. When I became president you can imagine
{This is the Patrick Henry} how mad Patrick was

5 Notable Facts about me
DEATH
James Madison always thought he would die young. But, was wrong. It was after Thomas Jefferson died, his health became very bad. He was 85. He was sick very often. It was June 28, 1836 when he died at his house. He was not one of the last members, but the last member of the group of men who wrote the constitution. His wife Dolley died 13 years later. When she was 81. Today he is known as one of the Founding Fathers".
Why I was famous

I think that what I did for America made me pretty famous. I helped write the Constitution(which was finally finished on September 17, 1787. People who worked on it mostly said that I had the most ideas and had done the most work. Before the Constitution became real laws, nine of the 13 states had to approve it. On June 6,1788 the Constition was turned into laws. For this I was called "The Father of the Constitution". Again, I decided to run for House of Representatives. This time I wanted it badly and I did whatever it took for me to win. And I won very easily. When Thomas Jefferson was president he made me Secretary of State. It was a difficult job. When Thomas Jefferson had been president for 8 years I decided to run. I won very easily.

Career
In May, 1776, when I was 26 years old I was elected to be the representative from Orange County Virginia. I had to go to a state convention in Williamsburg. While I was there I listened to people talk about the Continenatal Congress. Other men were meeting in Philidelphia deciding what to do about Great Britian and all the problems. The Virginia state sent a representative to Philadelphia to deliver a message. We were to propose a Decleration of Independance to Great Britian. I was put on a committee to write a constitution for Virginia. My job was to make up a list of "inalienable rights". I didn't talk at the meeting at all. But, when it ended I wanted another political office. I decided to run for Virginia house of Delegates as the new Legislature. I didn't think I would win and I didn't do that much to get people to vote for me. I lost to a man who wanted it more then I did. After I lost I went back home. But, sometime later the House of Delegates elected me to fill a spot in the Council of State. The governor was in the council of state, his name was Patrick Henry. Thomas Jefferson was also in the Council of State. He was a 32 year old lawyer. Thomas and I, both didn't like Patrick Henry. Thomas and I later became best friends. In 1779 I was elected a delegate to the Continental Congress in Philadelphia. I was so excited because I had wanted it for along time. I was told to leave for Philadelphia immediatly. But, that day there was a snow storm and noone could travel for weeks. I was very upset because I couldn't get to Philadelphia. It was March 18,1880 when I finally got to go. We decided what to do while the war was going on. It was going very bad, some of the British soldiers had captured some of the Virginia house of Delegates members. After this America started wining battles and then finally British General, Charles Cornwallis surrenderd to our General George Washington. Monday, January 28, 2008
Early Life
My name is James Madison. I was born on March 5th 1750. Around the time I was born a lot of the babies that were born then were dieing. Most of them didn't even turn one. I was lucky and survied. I was born at Port Conway, Virginia at my mothers parents house. After I was born my parents had 11 more children. Sadly 5 of them died. Almost everyone in my family called me Jemmy. I never really had to do chores around the house because we had slaves. We were a very wealthy family. I was always a book worm. I would rather read then go out and play with the other boys. By the time I was 11 I had read all 85 of my father's books. When I asked my father for more books, instead of giving me more he sent me to school. There were tons of books in school. I read the ones in English only until I learned how to speak French, Latin and Greek. Then I read books in those languages. In school my favorite subject was Astronomy. When I was 16 my father pulled me out of school. I had a new teacher, his name was Mr.Martin. He was also a minister who was living in our house. His job was to prepare me for college. My father decided that I was going to go to "The University of New Jersey". When I was 18 I left for college. The moment I got there I loved it. There were so many books and I made friends quickly. When I was in college I was called James and not Jemmy.
